Dr. Caroline Dalton is a Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Science at Sheffield Hallam University, where she is part of the Biomolecular Sciences Research Centre (BMRC). Her research primarily focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, with particular interest in protein misfolding and aggregation. She has been involved in projects exploring the effects of protein misfolding on disease pathology and the potential therapeutic strategies to mitigate these effects.
Additionally, Dr. Dalton has contributed to various research projects, including studies on DNA methylation related to schizophrenia and the role of microclots in Long COVID. She has supervised several PhD students and collaborates across different research fields to address complex biological problems.
